The final refrigerant charge must always be verified in cooling mode to achieve true peak performance. This session dispels common myths, explains why cooling-mode charging is non-negotiable, and shows how it ensures system efficiency, reliability, and occupant comfort. We’ll reference manufacturer guidelines and ACCA standards to demonstrate that verifying the charge in cooling mode is the industry-standard approach. Gustimating the line length and charge still requires verification. Attendees will leave with practical options and the confidence to accurately commission heat pumps every time.
